Sugar Cookie Bars
Ingredients:
2 sticks butter (or 1 cup of butter-flavor shortening)
2 cups sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
4 eggs
5 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Directions:
Naked sugar cookie bars. |
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Grease and flour a jelly roll pan.
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla. Mix.
- Combine dry ingredients.
- Mix dry ingredients into wet dough.
- Spread mixture into the jelly roll pan.
- Bake for 18 minutes.
- Cool.
- Ice with a glaze made of powdered sugar, water and vanilla. (Tint the glaze if you like...and add sprinkles!)
